Key Points of Doggy Philosophy

We think all dogs are pretty adorable. Big dogs, small dogs, fluffy dogs, sleek dogs, they all have their own personalities and charms. However, while all of our canine pals are unique, they do share some common opinions and philosophies. Read on as a Cedar Park, TX vet discusses some of Fido’s Golden Rules.

Play!

Dogs really just make our lives better. Their tail wags, happy dances, and playful antics are all charming. Fido also gets adorably excited when he knows you’re going to play with him. Take time to toss a ball for your furry best friend, or play a fun game with him. This will be great for your canine friend, both mentally and physically. We’re guessing it will put a smile on your face as well.

Enjoy Life

Dogs don’t really ask for much, aside from basic TLC. Actually, Fido really wants nothing more than to spend as much time as possible with his human friend. Take time to hang out with your pet every day, and indulge his taste for adventure by taking him to parks and trails. Time spent with dogs is never wasted!

Eat All The Food!

If there’s one thing we know for certain about Man’s Best Friend, it’s that he has a healthy appetite. Fido will happily chomp down anything you offer him, and may very well snap up anything that falls to the floor. Just be careful to only offer your pup things that are safe for him.

Get Lots Of Belly Rubs!

One thing we love about dogs is the fact that they can get absolutely overjoyed over small pleasures. Ear scrtiches and belly rubs are some of life’s greatest gifts as far as Fido is concerned! (It’s also really cute to see that adorable ‘smile’ happy pups get when they’re getting petted.) Indulge your pet’s adorable requests for attention!

Be A Good Boy! (Usually)

Dogs are capable of forming very strong bonds with their humans. Fido knows when he’s done something wrong, and he knows when you’re happy with his behavior. Reward your pet when he’s being good. This is a great way to reinforce good petiquette, and teach your pooch how to be a polite dog.
