Our Careteam

Bevin Duvall

Veterinary Technician

Bevin joined Avery Ranch Animal Hospital in August of 2010. Originally hailing from Houston, she started getting involved with horses from a young age and became a certified equine-assisted psychotherapist while still in high school. She loves the out doors, especially being out in the country with her three beautiful horses, or taking her miniature border collie, Scout, out for a nice trail run. She loves crawfish, which goes perfectly with her amazing cooking talent! At the end of the day she loves coming home to her sweet German Shepard Misa, her two cats Sophie, and Handsome Rob, and her tank full of happy fish!

Jennifer Chody

Veterinary Technician

Avery Ranch Animal Hospital’s very first employee, Jennifer has been with Dr. Skupin from the beginning. Years of caring for her own special-needs pets has given her insight and the compassion to help patients and owners through difficult illnesses. Her dedication and love for her wonderful family carries over to her work with her extended animal family here at Avery Ranch. She has recently started training her Belgian Malinois Daizie in tracking; one of the phases of Schutzhund in which she hopes to attain a title in one day.  Her newest addition to the family is a spunky kitten named Cross.

Maralyn Culp

Veterinary Technician

Joining us in August of 2012, Maralyn is an Austin native who recently moved back to Central Texas after spending 8 years in Wisconsin. Growing up, her family owned a boarding resort and it was there that she began her life-long love affair with animals of all types. Her Chihuahua Cosmo is her constant companion, and you may even see him sitting on top of her Labrador Marley at the clinic! Her two cats Kitten and Munchie keep life interesting, and she recently fostered and bottle-fed a baby raccoon, and that experience has sparked an interest in obtaining her wildlife rehabilitator certification.  Her dedication to Avery Ranch Animal Hospital is inspiring and she is always up-to-date on new things, ask her about any of the products or specialty diets we carry!

Desiree Peacock

Veterinary Technician

Although she was born in Austin, Desiree has traveled and lived all over the Pacific Northwest, and she also spent a while living in Mexico.  She loves watching Anime and is busy putting together her custom library- complete with hand-carved support beams! She has a daughter that loves all things princess-y, and her husband has longer hair than all the women in her family! She shares her home with a black Labrador named Cheese, a Chihuahua named Chorizo, Mew the cat, and a carnivorous goldfish named Fatty. Desiree has been with Avery Ranch Animal Hospital for quite a few years, in one capacity or another.

Mae Moorhead

Veterinary Technician and Receptionist

Mae’s specialty is gluten-free cooking, her and her artistic boyfriend often moonlight as chefs for their friends and family. She grew up in a large family, and trained service dogs when she was in high school. Mae has a passion for dressage horses, the tiny house movement, and cheese quesadillas. At the first chance she gets, she would love to travel to Brazil and other South American countries. Her fur kids include a yellow Labrador names Quinn that does therapy work with kids, a French Bulldog named Franklin that has had only a teeny bit of  plastic surgery (I swear!), and an Anglo-Arabian horse named Zoe who is too smart for her own good.  She has become invaluable at the front desk, her past work in non-profit organizations and degree in Communications has benefited Avery Ranch Animal Hospital greatly!
